"Patience" by Guns N' Roses - Great Acoustic Guitar Songs
Patience is an acoustic rock song by the American rock group Guns N' Roses, which appears on the album G N' R Lies and was released as a single in 1989. The song spiked at #4 on theBillboard Hot 100. The song is played with three acoustic guitars and was recorded in a solitary session by producer Mike Clink. A music video of the song was shot and appears on the band's music video DVD, Welcome to the Videos. The music was created by rhythm guitarist and founding member, Izzy Stradlin, with lyrics and vocal melody by Axl Rose. The inspiration for the track is usually accepted to be the difficult relationship between Axl Rose and now ex-wife Erin Everly, though this was never affirmed in the album or interviews. This song more than two decades later remains one of the great acoustic guitar songs.
“Landslide” by Fleetwood Mac - Great Acoustic Guitar Songs
A sweet, touching thoughtful song of reflection, “Landslide” was written by Stevie Nicks in 1975 at a point in time when the singer felt her prospect in music to be unsure. Featuring then boyfriend and fellow Fleetwood Mac group member Lindsey Buckingham on acoustic guitar, the song was released on Fleetwood Mac’s 1975 self-titled album.
